KCA UK 2026 Lenten Retreat at Pentasaph
On March 7, 2026, the Konkani Cultural Association – UK (KCA-UK) organised a Lenten Retreat at the Divine Retreat Centre in Pantasaph. The centre is also home to Calvary Hill, the Marian Grotto, the Rosary Way, and the National Shrine of Padre Pio, which have become special places of prayer and pilgrimage. Thousands visit throughout the year to spend time in reflection and to encounter God’s grace. The Calvary Way offers a plenary indulgence to those who pray there at any time, making it a profoundly meaningful place of devotion for pilgrims from across the world.
This day-long retreat began at 10 a.m. and consisted of a Healing Mass, Adoration, Confession, and preaching of the Word of God. It concluded around 3 p.m. with the Stations of the Cross held at Calvary Hill.
Around 60 people from the northwest of England attended the retreat. Lent is the Christian season of reflection, fasting, and repentance, preparing for Easter. This retreat provided an opportunity to focus on spiritual growth during this holy season of Lent. It also offered a chance to hear God’s call more clearly, seek God’s healing grace, and thereby attain a degree of spiritual renewal.
